Sticks and stones may break their bones ...

... but pictures will never hurt them.

The Obamas have been through a lot and will continue to be beaten and bruised by Republicans, the media, racists and ignorant citizens. I still believe the worst is yet to come. And you know the Republicans have some sort of dirt on Barack that they have been waiting to throw into the public's eyes. It'll come near the election. But I'm just as certain that Barack has some McCain dirt.
I just wanted to commend Barack's response to the whimsical and entertaining front page cover of the New Yorker. His camp and followers seemed to be a lot more offended by it than he was, when I heard him on TV say:

"It's a cartoon … and that's why we've got the First Amendment. And I think the American people are probably spending a little more time worrying about what's happening with the banking system and the housing market, and what's happening in Iraq and Afghanistan, than a cartoon. So I haven't spent a lot of time thinking about it. I've seen and heard worse."

This is why I'm voting for this guy. He doesn't get distracted from what's really important when the rest of the country is gasping over the story of the day.
